Happy 3rd Birthday Dexter.
We all wish Dexter a very Happy 3rd Birthday. Dexter is Andrea's son and is regularly found at the yard grooming horses, riding his quad bike or getting into trouble with his buddy Archie. We are having a barbeque this afternoon with a childrens entertainer and a bouncy castle as well (supposedly for the kids...). Chiara has very kindly spent the morning blowing up balloons and sweeping the yard whilst Andrea has been running around getting the horses done and organising. I have to say the yard looks awesome! Lets hope the weather holds so we can celebrate Thorncroft Style!

The Boss Is Coming Home

There is someone to see you Mr President
We have some potential new owners coming to see Barack Obama this weekend so fingers crossed!! What a cracking horse he is. He is the type who will work all day long (thinking Joey from Warhorse although I am not really allowed to mention that film) and came with an advisory from the trainer saying that he needs to be constantly exercised. Well I think he is a dude and will become an awesome competitor in whatever discipline he ends up doing. He was up against the best on the track so why not? Good Luck Barack…
Sold......
Well Thorncroft hasn’t stood still for the last couple of day’s. It looks like Clearwater Bay (George) will be a permanent fixture at the yard (pictured with Michael). He has been bought by Claire and is now a proper member of the Thorncroft family. George you seem to be liking your new life here at Thorncroft and I am sure you are going to be a star of the future (We do actually say that about all the horses we produce!?!) and your fine self and Claire will make a great team.. Bit of a relief for all as there were quite a few around the yard checking their bank accounts to see if we could keep him here…. So another success story concluded.
We just need to find someone suitable for my personal fave Ebony Boom (Boo Bear) I prefer Boomer and Linda my other half thinks he should be called Ebony. He is slightly more ‘spirited’ than the ‘almost horizontal’ George but equally as beautiful….
